What if no intervention? The political impact of the intervention which in turn leads to the choice of tactic is the core issue in this matter. In order to discuss that let’s think of a scenario when the military intervention had NOT occurred. And let’s just assume that the revolutionaries had the chance to withdraw [...]

A short discusstion Abbas Goya II >> We are all Khaled Said Thanks for the confirmation of what we said earlier. Below. Now, do we need to wait another 6 months to get a confirmation that a new dictatorship emerged out of the military “transition to a civilian” govt? Never Leave the streets, never lower [...]

In Iran workers are routinely arrested for going on strike, for building a union or for celebrating May Day. That is what happened to bus workers in Tehran: Over 700 of them were arrested when they went on strike in 2006. As per Sajjad’s open letter Mostafaei has never directly taken the status of Sakineh’s lawyer but via a female lawyer, and even that lasted for a short time and cost Sakineh’s family a considerable amount of [...]

As much as we must use the current power balance, that is, the objections to Israel – be it the condemnations by EU governments and by various other states in the world + the masses on the streets – to remove the blockade on Gaza, expecting an end to the Israel-Palestine conflict out of this [...]

NOTE: The following in Italic was a short explanation to a posting on my wall re Israeli & Suadi Arabia’s cooperation for a possible Israeli assault on Iran. The posting generated a great discussion that I have now reformatted to flow as a standalone note. If US fails to manipulate the uprising against the IRI via its [...]
