Iranian abroad response to Ezatollah Sahabi

Please Note:

A] As you know, we have created a group in Facebook Pasox Iranian e xArej az keshvar be Ezatollah Sahabi
geared towards Farsi speaking population living abroad asking them to sign the following letter by simply joining that group.

B] Some of you asked what this group was about. The following is a translation of the letter published in the group. If you too wish to join the wagon and object Sahabi, you’re more than welcome but please note that we can not provide all the pertaining information in English as this requires a great deal of insight in politics of Iran and that’s why we have geared it towards Iranian living abroad.

C] Background to the letter

Ezatollah Sahabi is a well known political figure self-defined as nationalist-religious, spokesperson for the National Front, an organization that was co-founder of the Islamic Republic of Iran [IRI], currently pushed to the so called reformist faction of the IRI.

After the December 27, 2009 offensive uprising of people in Iran, Sahabi had an interview with BBC and he has written a letter to Iranian living abroad asking them to avoid ‘violence’ against the Islamic regime and that Iranian should not word anything against Khamenei, the supreme leader of the IRI. Sahabi’s call outraged political opposition abroad. The following letter is complied by opposition and it is circulating among Iranian in response to Sahabi’s call.

The Letter of response:

Mr. Ezatollah Sahabi in a recent letter to Iranians outside of Iran, in a deliberate attempt to divide and concur has requested that we should show patience! He asked us the victims of this brutal regime not to display brutality. In an interview with Rooz Online he has officially requested that the youth should stop their chants against Mr. Khamenei. It is clear from his letter that he is pursuing an end to our demonstrations outside of Iran or to render them as useless. Here is our answers to Mr. Ezatollah Sahabi concerning this matter:

1. Mr. Sahabi we will not comply. We will not comply with Khamenei, Ahmadinejad or any dictators or bullies in Iran. Our answer to you is the same as the slogans of our youths in streets of our land who scream: Khamenei is a murderer and this regime is gone! So put an end to your compliance request. Don’t render yourself useless and an enemy of the people. It is clear that you are being used as a tool to stop our youths and the Iranian’s outside of Iran slogans against Khamenei. Your request only displays the fact that this regime is crumbling from inside. It only shows how powerful we the people are.

2. Mr. Sahabi your words carry no weight with us. You and your cronies know full well it is not the people that are brutal. Brutality is on the part of the regime that for 30 long years have force hejaab on women using acid, fear and intimidation. That is brutality!

Brutality is to consider raping a young baby girl, a child as a constitutional religious rights of men to marry them. That is brutality! Brutality is raping our young protestors in prison and calling it a victory over people! Those that killed Neda, Ashkaan, Sohraab, Taraaneh, Mohsen and many more. Those that run our youth over with police cars. That is brutality! For 30 years we were beaten and violated while you consider your brutalities as fighting the opponents of Islam and nation. You blame the people for it. You are trying to lable us the apposition as brutal, to keep us in chains and ropes. We warn you to stop cooperating with this regime and going against the people.

Blame Khamenei’s regime for brutality instead of the people. Have you not heard the cries of our youth that this is
your final warning?

3. Mr. Sahabi, in the countries we live in, 60 years after the Hitler’s holocaust, Jews and other victims of Nazis – those who might had been forced to work in Nazi camps just for a single day – are sought and asked for apologies, and paid compensations. How dare you write this letter to us the displaced Iranians by the millions, the direct victims of the violence of massacres of this brutal regime? How dare you beg for compliance with this evil regime? Would you offer any of them respect? Would you offer them reparations? Millions of us Iranians are outside of our motherland due to our fear of execution, stoning, lack of liberty for females in Iran, lack of basic human rights, the choking atmosphere, poverty and more. We have managed to escape and cope with the pain of our separation and our refuge status in foreign land. How dare you ask us to cooperate, to forget, to forgive? You well know that many Iranians died while escaping through the land and drawn in waters surrounding our land. Thousands are in danger of deportation. Thousands were forced to return and were executed in many instances. Scars of torture are still evident on many of us. Many of our sisters and brothers are still imprisoned and we lost many more in prisons of this brutal regime. A new generations of our youths are the children of those that were executed. Do you expect them to comply with the butchers of their fathers, mothers, sisters and brothers?

We will never comply. Here is our question for you. How much was your price to sell out? Was it as priceless as the tears shed by mothers who have not seen their separated offspring for years? Was it as priceless as the loneliness and desperation of millions of us outside of Iran? Your will have to answer these questions face to face with the people in the streets of Iranian cities. Fear that final confrontation with the people.

4. Mr. Sahabi you want us to show patience, then what? Do you want the embassies of this tyrant regime to find and mow down and kill every one of our youths outside of Iran, to force their return to Iran? Then you and a handful of journalist on regime’s payroll call it justice that was due to them? Are you not responsible for this scenario? Compliance with this regime has always been the cause of more brutality. Mr. Sahabi, Late Mr. Fereydoon Farokhzad was not participating in a street demonstration. Can you tell us that his brutal murder was not due to his anti Islam stand? Or was it not? Was Farokhzad at fault to die? What about Mr. Bakhtiar? What about Gholam Keshvarz who was killed in front of his wife, mother and family? What about Ghaasemloo? Is it not the same reason used by the leadership of Al Quida for attacking the Twin Towers in New York City? According to them this was not a savage act. It was the fault of American public that this event took place!

Look around you Mr. Sahabi. What was the outcome for Saeed Hajarian for complying with this regime? What about Mr. Khatemi? Mr. Mousavi even accepted Ahmadinejad’s new cabinet and rule. Yet Keyhaan, the regime’s newspaper, published an article requesting his execution!

Mr. Sahabi your letter is part of this evil plan to attack a just revolution that has cornered the regime and his supporters. We will remain with this movement till the end. We consider these attempts and tricks as a result of fear. We know that Khamenei and his government are not capable of doing anything. So keep fearing us, we are united!

Our answer and warning to you and your collaborators are to stop these ridicules and ugly acts. We the people will not comply and your efforts are futile. They just create more repulsion in public. You better direct your letters to Khamenei, Ahmadinejad and their entire government. Condemn their violent behaviors. Condemn the Islamic laws. If you can’t manage all this, then stay in your house and watch how we the people are going to finish this regime. We will return our Iran to a land of freedom, liberty, justice and modernity.

We will strive toward the growth and prosperity of our people. Stay in your house and witness how Iran will bring Khamenei, Ahmadinejad and their goons to trial and justice. Fear that it might be you in that court room someday. Leave the camps of the enemies of people and join us. Mr. Sahabi if staying in Iran is not possible for you, we will assist you in applying for political asylum! May be then you will get a taste of complying with regime!

Down with Islamic Republic!
Long live and power to the victorious struggle of our people in and outside Iran to topple this regime.

We invite our freedom fighters outside of Iran to sign this letter as pass it on for public distribution. In Facebook, tweeter, web sites, blogs and satellite radio and televisions.
